While moving about the globe SCOTT KUHN (5662-1998) wrote:
“Thanks for everything. You and your staff are great. My autographed pictures are amazing.”

Some time ago, JOHN C. HOLDORF (2612-1992) sent this:
“Received my KTB yesterday and could not put it down until I went through the whole issue. As usual, another outstanding issue.”

and LINDA SILVA (3188-1993) wrote:
“SHARKHUNTERS is a great organization with a fine goal. We wish the very best to SHARKHUNTERS in the future.”

When he became a Member some years ago, ROBERTO SAETA (5240-1997) wrote:
“I am a new Member to your fine organization, but have been interested in German naval activity for many years. I really enjoyed the first package you sent me and hope I can be a helpful and useful member of SHARKHUNTERS for many years to come.”

CHAZ PITYK (1999-1991) sent this e-mail:
“Just went thru the website and wanted to say what a fine job you guys have done!! Anyone with any interest in history is an absolute fool if they don’t join our fine group!!! I look back on when I joined 11 years ago and it’s one of the best things I ever did in my life!!”

When U.S. Navy hospital corpsman STEVE FLORES (5225-1997) came aboard some years ago, he wrote this to us:
“Thank you so much for letting me become a Member; thanks for the great catalogs and Magazine! Wonderful reading; great stories and exciting history.

Thanks STEVE – we’re proud to have you on board!

Gas Prices Too High

For some months now, we have been reading the U.S. Senate subcommittee report on the oil companies, Standard Oil of New Jersey in particular, and I related my own experiences when I was Inventory Control Manager at a large petrochemical company in the years of the so-called ‘Arab Oil Embargo’. I have always held that this was just another way to gauge money out of the consumer. New Member MATT THELEN (6642-2002) wrote this:
“Received my first Magazine and photo – very good. I had to laugh at your article about the oil shortage. I worked at a Phillips 66 refinery at the time of the ‘shortage’. The old-timers told me to find an empty storage tank out in the tank farm. I could not. They thought the whole thing was a riot. Out on the loading dock there was talk of the boats ‘riding low’ out past the Farallons.”

Thanks MATT. It’s good to see that someone else remembers.

ERIC TAKAKJIAN (825-1988) has been aboard for a long time and is a strong, supportive, valued Member. Recently he wrote:
“Just a quick note with my renewal. Wow! Time goes by so fast. Still enjoy getting the KTB very much!”

Member’s comments, questions, suggestions are always welcome.

Thanks to all our Members who let us know how they feel about their Membership in this great organization SHARKHUNTERS, which is now twenty years old! Be with us for the next 20 years.
