Crisis Convoy

Book Review

reviewed by Dick Cole (204-1986)

by Peter Greton

Hardbound edition published by Naval Institute, Annapolis in 1974, containing 182 pages, 13 photographs.

The author was the escort commander of Convoy HX.231 that made the perilous voyage across the North Atlantic to Great Britain in the decisive spring of 1943, The convoy’s story is told exclusively from the Allied side, but attempts are made to identify the U-Boats involved by examining war diaries, and a goodly amount of information is provided.
