On Eternal Patrol

As the years march on, more & more of the honored veterans of WW II are beginning their ‘Eternal Patrol’ and so, again, we’re forced to report on the loss of two more fine men of that time.

LaVerne “Red” Nordenberg (523-LIFE-1988), American combat submarine veteran, he rode USS SARGO.

H-J von KNEBEL DOEBERITZ (681-LIFE-1988), he was aide to Großadmiral Karl Dönitz, then was posted to U-99 as I.W.O. under OTTO KRETSCHMER (122-+-1985). He was a kindly gentleman and he had helped us with preparations for our ‘Patrols’ in North Germany in the past.

We wish fair winds and smooth seas to these veterans.
