On ‘Eternal Patrol’

It is a sad item to read in the KTB Magazine when one of the honored veterans of World War II – any navy, ends his days here on Earth and begins his ‘Eternal Patrol’. I wish it were as easy as putting some words on paper with the information that a veteran has passed away, but these men are no longer mere names in a history story – they have all become dear friends and when they depart, it is as painful as losing a family member.

I am sorry to note that this will happen again and again as the years move onward. God bless them all, our treasured veterans.
