2 January 2002, MARTIN SCHAEFFER (189-1986) began his Eternal Patrol. Marty was involved in just about every facet of SubVets work, and we know he will be missed.

CAPT. DAVE MCCLINTOCK

11 January 2002, CAPT. DAVE MCCLINTOCK, Skipper of USS DARTER, began his 'Eternal Patrol'. DARTER and DACE were a pair of tigers against the Imperial Japanese Navy under him.

PATRICK SWEET

PATRICK SWEET (3077-A-1993) was known as 'Boogie', and we met him at our gathering at USS SILVERSIDES in 1993. He was always outgoing, friendly and we understand, a great help at the museum there. His wife just telephoned to tell us that he has begun his 'Eternal Patrol'and we wish him peace.
