JOE BURGESS (605-A/LIFE-1988) is a US Navy submarine veteran of World War II, and MELIH SIPIAHAGLOU (5948-1999) was an officer in the Turkish submarine Navy after the war, so when JOE told us that he was going to Turkey for a holiday, we put these two men in contact with each other.
The result -- they became friends and had a great visit. MELIH turned over one of his Mercedes limousines to JOE, with a driver and an assistant naturally, for his time in Istanbul and the surrounding area.
All in all, two SHARKHUNTERS Members met and became friends across the ocean. The sun never sets on our SHARKHUNTERS Members.
