(Bavaria) and Austria

Locations: 2001

Niederwald Monument

We ride the famous cable car to the Niederwald Monument and visit the wine museum Bromserberg and a castle tour on the Rhine walk at Rudesheim. Will YOU be with us? There are already people signed up for this tour to the south of Germany and Austria. We had a superb time in 2000 when we went; don't be left out. Send in your deposit today and be sure of a place on this `Patrol'. Don't miss out - you'll wish you were there.

Heidelberg

We tour the famed castle at Heidelberg and this city, and on to Sinsheim where we have plenty of time to tour the museum filled with cars and military vehicles. Will you be there?

Our 2000 "Patrol in So. Germany and Austria" was tremendous. We hope you can be with us for this 'Patrol' in 2001. Don't wait; there are several already signed up.

Nurnberg!

We are in the famous stadium where it all took place, and we are in that courtroom in the Palace of Justice. We tour a great military museum, housed in a former bomb shelter. In the evening, we meet with many veterans of the war and talk freely about their memories of the war and anything else.

When we are in Nurnberg, we are honored guests at the fantastic military museum, operated by MICHAEL KAISER (6166-2000) and housed on a former air raid bunker. Will you be there? Remember, since there will probably be at least ten veterans on our bus at all times, we can take only 30. Don't be left out.

Rothenburg

We will visit the beautiful centuries-old city of Rothenburg (it means Red Castle) where we had such a great time last year. They sell cookoo clocks of all sizes and descriptions here.

We also visit the ancient city of Dinkelsbuhl and enjoy a reception by the city officials - we have lunch with them.

We visit the German Army Museum and enjoy a dinner with many veterans. You don't want to miss this day.

We also visit the Audi automobile manufacturing plant, complete with reception.

Octoberfest

One of the high points is our time at the famed Oktoberfest. We had a fantastic time there in 2000 and our return in 2001 will be even better. Don't miss it.

Utrichsbergfest

One of the really high points of this entire visit is our participation in the `Utrichsbergfest'. We are atop the highest mountain in the area, with the ruined cathedral and cross in the background, while the fallen warriors of all sides in World War II are remember in beautiful pageantry. Our SHARKHUNTERS group is right in the middle of the ceremonies, and we meet famous people such as Dr. JORG HAIDER (1616-1990), leader of his political party in Austria as well as other veterans. Sign up - we can take only 30.
