Meeting New Members

Short Bios

by Harry Cooper

Another Graduate and an Old Father PAUL ZINSKIE (1317-1989) recently wrote to tell us that he has done his best Harry Cooper imitation and became a father at age 45 (Harry was 52 when his daughter was born) and he is also doing a Deputy Dave imitation and has achieved his degree, a B.A. in psychology. He's now a Government employee - PAUL, does that mean you get paid for doing nothing? Congratulations on your good fortune - your baby will light up your life like nothing else.

This is our important section where our Members are introduced to others in our SHARKHUNTERS International Family.

5835-1999 Capt. Alfred S. McLaren US He holds the many titles including President Emeritus of the famed Explorers Club; has dived to RMS TITANIC and the Rainbow Thermal Vents near the Azores and in 2001 will soon be diving to the battleship BISMARCK. He received a PhD in Physical Geography of the Polar Regions and is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He was in the first group of fifty picked by Admiral Rickover to attend the new Nuclear Power School. He made several patrols aboard fast attack submarines in the Arctic and eventually was Skipper of USS QUEENFISH with more than 20 Cold War submarine operations.

EDITOR NOTE - we missed Captain McLaren when his number came up in KTB #151, thus his biog is out of sequence.
