Two New Books

Morton and Kretschmer

By Harry Cooper

We are told of two new books hitting the market.

James F. DeRose wrote a book about 'Mush' Morton with a tremendously long title Unrestricted Warfare: How a New Breed of Officers Led the Submarine Force to Victory in World War II

The other, by Bodo Herzog, has a much shorter title: Otto Kretschmer We would welcome book reviews by any Member on these books. 'Mush' Morton was indeed, a tremendous American submarine Skipper and as for Kretschmer - a genuinely fine man, loved by his crew, an utterly fearless and superb submarine Skipper - the best.
