Wreck Facts to Skin Diver

Column

by Harry Cooper

Ellsworth Boyd’s shipwrecks column ‘Wreck Facts’ will begin in the February 2001 issue of SKIN DIVER Magazine. His column originated in SKIN DIVER in 1982 where it was published monthly until 1988 when it went to Clive Cussler’s NUMA News and later to SPORT DIVER Magazine. Divers from all over the US and more than a dozen foreign countries have benefited from the authors knowledge and contemporary advice. Ellsworth says that his column brought enough attention to allow him to hunt for treasure with the late Mel Fisher, become friends with Clive Cussler, and dive on shipwrecks in exotic locations such as Antigua, Bermuda and Martinique. Ells appreciates all the loyal divers who have read his column throughout the years. He will continue to respond to them and new readers with all the info he can dig up on their favorite wreck sites. SKIN DIVER Magazine has an astounding number of readers worldwide and Ells hopes to help many of them in the years ahead.

ELLSWORTH BOYD had been Member #17-1983 for many years and MEL FISHER was Member (171-1985) until his death.
