Of all books about the Battle of the Atlantic, this probably is the best. Surface ships are included in the story but they are not given top billing as in other books: U-Boats are the major consideration here. The authors use a variety of sources to provide a nice selection of personal accounts (from both sides) of individual actions as well as overall strategy and technical developments.
