Remember What They Said
About our History Tours?
I know we put these comments in a previous issue of our KTB, but
let's read again what our travelers to Germany in 1998 had to say about
our trip. Their comments are on the facing page.
We put them in here again because you are making up your
mind about our tour to Russia or our tour to Germany. Remember, we can
take ONLY 40 PEOPLE - there is NO MORE ROOM. So if you think
you might join us, I strongly suggest that you send in your deposit right
away - don't be left out!
EDDIE PHILLIPS (220-A/LIFE- 1986): A wonderful trip.
Pat Grafton (EDDIE's
friend):
You are an ideal organizer and tour guide. You made the trip
worthwhile. Great to see enthusiasm for war history and information
and for the younger men's quest for WW II knowledge so it won't die
with the veterans.
ROLAND IHLE (5511-1998) came on this trip as a
real surprise to him -- his wife booked it for him and made me keep quiet
until a few days before departure when she told him. He writes:
This was a lifetime memory - well organized.
KARL-HEINZ HARTMANN (1211-1989) has
been a Member for a long time, he served aboard a Type XXIII boat.
He writes:
This trip was a Number I experience and made me realize what
SHARKHUNTERS is all about. They can make an ordinary U-
BootFahrer to be a somebody. It was a great honor. Thankyou
SHARKHUNTERS.
Elfriede Hartmann (KARL's
wife) writes:
I must say you did a pretty good job of putting the trip together;
everything was very well organized.
DAVID SAVADYGA (1020-LIFE-1989) otherwise
known as the 'Man who Walks Like a Bear' writes:
Although I've done this trip once before, I enjoyed the whole trip and
wished it could have been longer.
ED HENDERSON (4920-
1996): Excellent.
JIM KRAMER (5319-
1997):
A very good value for the number of places visited, especially
as related to the U-Boats and their personnel. I would
recommend a SHARKRUNTERS trip to anyone.
Doris Kramer (JIM's wife): It was a very exciting
hip. The group was wonderful and the places we visited were great.
PHIL KUONI (5184-1997). Thoroughly enjoyable.
Hats Off to Harry, he got us everywhere we had to go on time - no easy
task. As nice as it was to meet the veterans, it is also sad to think that they
will be on 'Eternal Patrol' all too quickly. I feel honored to have shook
hands with each of them.
TOM LOGUE, Jr. (5584-1998) is a Reserve USN
Commander and he writes: Delightful and educational.
JEFF BIRST (5201-1997): It was everything it was
advertised to be and more. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip and am
looking forward to next year's trip.
DAVID BICKFORD (5495-1998):
Harry did an excellent job of organization, site selections and
attending to everyone's enjoyment. Excellent adventure.
RALPH NEWMAN (4210-1995): It was just a fine
trip. NINON COLLET (979-1989). Meeting the U-
BootFahrer was an honor and a privilege.
MYRON BLARY (5432-1997): Fantastic! Great!
This will be one great memory. Harry did a great job; more than I
expected.
BILL MEDER (4957-1996):
1 really enjoyed the SHARKHUNTERS Patrol. It was great meeting
with some of the remaining 'Grey Wolves', now great-grandfathers.
BILL REED (13-LIFE-1983): The museum trips in
Hamburg were fantastic.
FRED GUYER (5531-1998) goes on history trips all
over the world, and he writes. Because of the experiences of learning about
a country I've never been to before. It was probably one of the best trips
that I have ever taken. Want to go back and spend more time.
CHAZ PITYK (1999-1991):
Great job! Only SHARKHUNTERS could do something like this.
BOB LOGUE (5647-1998): Great time. Whatever we
do - we must do with passion, as you do with SHARKHUNTERS.
GEORGE LOGUE (1879-LIFE-1991): When's the
next trip?
CHRIS LOGUE (5585-1998): I had a fantastic
time! Everything worked like clockwork.
JIM PENNINGTON (4746-1996): Superb! I'm
already recommending it to friends for next year.
HARRY'S NOTE - Everyone had a super time in Germany, we
always have a great time wherever we go on SHARKHUNTERS History
Tours. As it says on page 36 - DON'T WAIT! There are Members
ALREADY SIGNED UP for Russia AND for Germany. DON'T BE
LEFT OUT! Send in your reservation now to avoid any disappointment
at the last minute. Any questions? Just call, FAX or e-mail.
