Skippers of U-150 include: Kelling from 19 October 1940 and he also commanded U-37 and U-423; von Ahlefeld who also commanded U-4714; Anschutz; Hermann Schultz who also commanded U-3502; Emile Ranzau who also commanded U-71; J. Kriegshammer who also commanded U-8 was the Skipper at the end of the war when U-150 was surrendered on 30 June 1945.

U-150 was initially assigned to the 1st U-Bootflottille as a Frontboot (combat boat) but was transferred to the 22nd U-Bootflottille as a Schulboot (school boat) in Gotenhafen on the Baltic.

U-150 made no attacks on any ships. She was given to the Royal Canadian Navy at the end of the war for experimentation and evaluation. She was ‘expended’ as a target on 22 October 1947.
