Red Mercury

The ‘Poor’ Dictator’s
Nuclear Triggering Device

by Harry Cooper

We asked about this in KTB #124 last month and so far, we have heard from no one. According to HARRISON CHEN (5110-1996), Red Mercury will take the place of the nuclear fission part of a thermonuclear weapon. The heat from a small nuclear explosion is required to ignite the Deuterium and Tritium gasses in the ‘SQUASH’ area of a thermonuclear in order to produce the fusion portion of the reaction which then becomes the hydrogen bomb explosion. So if Red Mercury will take the place of all this high-tech nuclear fission component, then it will be much easier for small and not-so-wealthy countries to make their own hydrogen bomb.

Isn’t that a comforting thought!
