I think everyone knows of the V-1 and the V-2 rockets, but did you know about the V-3 and the V-4 rockets? German scientists were experimenting with multi-stage rockets with inter-continental capabilities toward the end of the war. I think the name of this rocket pretty well tells what the intended target was to be.

BUD DANA (245-A/LIFE-1987); STELLA DANA (245 1/2-A/LIFE-1987) and JIMMY KLINE (300-A/LIFE-1987) spent a lot of time exploring the fabrication and launching sites for these inter-continental missiles a few years ago and put it all on videotape. We hope to make these tapes available soon.
