U-1108 TYPE VII-C41/42 - Surrendered to the British at Horton in May 1945, kept by Royal Navy 1946, scrapped in 1949.
U-1109 TYPE VII-C41/42 - Surrendered to the British at Horton in May 1945, kept by the Royal Navy through 1947, taken to Bickton Ferry on 12 May 1949 for scrapping by Ward.
U-1110 TYPE VII-C41/42 - Surrendered Wilhelmshaven in May 1945, scuttled in Operation ‘DEADLIGHT’
U-1171 TYPE VII-C41/42 - Surrendered at Stavanger in May of 1945; became HMS N-19 until 1947; sold in April 1949 to Young & Co. in Sunderland for scrapping.
U-1173 TYPE VII-C41/42 - Canceled before production began
U-1174 TYPE VII-C-41/42 - Taken over by the Soviets while she was building up at Danzig. Completed by the Soviets.
U-1175 TYPE VII-C41/42 - Canceled before production began
U-1176 TYPE VII-C41/42 - Taken over by the Soviets while she was building up at Danzig. Completed by the Soviets.
U-1177 TYPE VII-C41/42 - Taken over by the Soviets while she was building up at Danzig. Completed by the Soviets.
U-1178 through U-1190 were TYPE VII-C41/42 but were canceled at the Danzig Shipyard before production.
When the list of German U-Boats is finished, we will begin with the list of US Navy submarines that survived the war.
If anyone would like to compile a list like this for the Japanese, British, Italian etc. submarines that survived the war, we would very much appreciate that effort. Just be accurate. Thanks. --HC
