‘DIVE INTO HISTORY: U-BOATS’

Hardbound edition published by the American Merchant Marine Museum, King’s Point in 1986 containing 193 pages, 200 photos. Available as of July 1989 from Aqua Quest Publications.

The history and current diving status of six U-Boats that were sunk or scuttled in American waters are discussed in this volume. The boats include UC-97 of World War I; U-85, U-352, U-701, U-853 and U-2513 from WW II. While diving and artifact photos are a large part of this book, each boat’s history is covered in detail including wartime photographs and survivor interviews when possible. The book contains a fish-graph photo of UC-97 supplied by SHARKHUNTERS. HANK KEATTS is (59-1990).
