1 April 1942 the I.J.N. submarine Ro-30 was lost, but not due to enemy action. She was stricken as too old.

1 April 1942 the I.J.N. submarine Ro-32 was also stricken.

No I.J.N. submarines were lost to enemy action during April 1942.

No Italian submarines were sunk during the month of April 1942.
