On Eternal Patrol

Obitutuaries

by Harry Cooper

KAPITÄN KURT PFENNIG (2390-1992) had been Chief of the German Submarines until his recent promotion to Flotillen Admiral, and his posting to the United States.

He had been a strong supporter of our SHARKHUNTERS and in the eyes of the officers working for him, he was an outstanding officer and leader.

I am sorry to report that our friend FLOTILLEN ADMIRAL KURT PFENNIG recently suffered a massive heart attack and died quickly. He was only 54 years of age!

ADM. PFENNIG, we are saddened to lose you, but we wish you fair winds and following seas always.

CAPTAIN JOHN VICK ran the US Naval Submarine League for quite some time and was a very strong, supportive Member of SHARKHUNTERS.

Some months ago he learned that he suffered from a particularly difficult type of cancer and this summer, CAPTAIN VICK departed on his ETERNAL PATROL.

We wish you a fair wind at your back and following seas.

TOM POSER (1099-1989) served in the Kriegsmarine in one capacity or another, and he was a SHARKHUNTERS Member since 1989. He was with us on two or three of our gatherings.

TOM was an entertaining guy and always had a story or two for any eager ears. TOM began his ETERNAL PATROL on 21 June, 1996. We wish you fair winds & following seas TOM.
