U-1108 (TYPE VII-C41/42) was surrendered at Horten in May of 1945; was given to the Royal Navy in 1946; broken up for scrap in 1949.

U-1109 (TYPE VII-C41/42) was surrendered in Horten in May of 1945; given to the Royal Navy in 1947; went to Bickton Ferry 12 May of 1949 for scrapping at Ward Breakers.

U-1110 (TYPE VII-C41/42) was surrendered in Wilhelmshaven in May of 1945, and was scuttled off Northern Ireland over 1945/1946 during Operation ‘DEADLIGHT’.

U-1171 (TYPE VII-C41/42) was surrendered at Stavanger on 29 May, 1945 and went to the Royal Navy as N.19. She was sold in April 1949 to Young & Company in Sunderland for scrapping.

U-1173 (TYPE VII-C41/42) was canceled during building at Danzig. Possibly completed as Russian.

U-1174 (TYPE VII-C41/42) was taken over by the Russians at Danzig and was completed as Russian.

U-1175 (TYPE VII-C41/42) was canceled during building at Danzig. Possibly completed as Russian.

U-1176 (TYPE VII-C41/42) was taken over by the Russians at Danzig and was completed as Russian.

U-1177 (TYPE VII-C41/42) was taken over by the Russians at Danzig and was completed as Russian.

U-1178 (TYPE VII-C41/42) was canceled during building at Danzig. Possibly completed as Russian.

U-1179 (TYPE VII-C41/42) was canceled during building at Danzig. Possibly completed as Russian.

U-1180 (TYPE VII-C41/42) was canceled during building at Danzig. Possibly completed as Russian.

When the list of German U-Boats is finished, we will begin with the list of US Navy submarines that survived the war.

If anyone would like to compile a list like this for the Japanese, British, Italian etc. submarines that survived the war, we would very much appreciate that effort. Just be accurate. Thanks. --HC
