JOE DEVLIN (724-1988) writes: “SHARKHUNTERS is doing a great job. I just wish more of these people would put their memories on tape. I have been trying to get my brother, who was with the 43rd Cavalry, to do it. We all procrastinate a little. Also, I wish people would realize that NO ONE wins a war.”

PETER DENNISTON (4585-1996) writes “Thanks again for offering such a specialist magazine for those interested in the U-Boat war - and keep up the good work!”

Donna Slaten, the wife of DALE SLATEN (2374-1992); writes: “As the wife of a Member of your organization, I often read your KTB Magazine. I for one, am always interested in hearing the ‘real story’ behind the officially released story. It amazes me how history is changed to fit into the ideal of the writer. I always thought re-writing history was done by Russia and other dictatorships as a way of making themselves seem heroic. I never dreamed our own country would stoop to such a level. I would like to thank you for teaching me the truth. Keep up the good work.”

MATT HORVATH (3281-1993) writes: “You treat and respect every Member the same as if we are ‘OTTO’, ‘FLUCKEY’ or ‘SWEENEY’ and I admire you for it. We are truly a historic club. My deepest respect for all the hard work and the years. You give the world the history of those who served from all nations.”

PAUL WAGNER (2037-LIFE-1991) “I look forward to many years of enjoyment in such a truly unique group of comrades”

COL. NICOLL GALBRAITH (4933-1996) and his wife Edith, were participants in this great tour in Russia, and he writes: “The Russia-Ukraine trip was conceived and executed in a fabulous manner, a truly meaningful experience. Kudos to all for making it possible.”

NORMAN CREECH (4931-1996) was also with us in Russia and Ukraine. He writes: “Let me say again that the Russian tour was absolutely unbelievably great. Never have I ever been exposed to so much new, unfamiliar and interesting territory in such a short length of time. We all certainly came away with a greater appreciation and understanding of Russia and the Russians”

MANFRED ROEDER (1517-1990) writes: “SHARKHUNTERS colossal work for the historic truth. Yours is one of the finest organizations I know of.”

MICHAEL BRASHIERS (2038-1991) has been on board for quite some time, and he writes: “Let me say how much I am enjoying my Membership in SHARKHUNTERS. I look forward to each publication & read each one twice just in case I missed anything. Thank you for letting me become a Member in such a distinguished group as the SHARKHUNTERS”

We asked those who were with us for this historic time in Russia and Ukraine to give us their thoughts on this trip. Here are a few:

BRUCE KLAHR (4932-1996) writes: “The ships firing during the parade blew my mind! Also enjoyed riding in the launch past the cruiser PETER THE GREAT in St. Petersburg (and a few dozen other things.)

FRED JEUNET (4837-1996) writes: “The visit of the tall ships and the Navy ships; the boat trip on the Neva River; the gala evening at the TROIKA.”

JERRY ESQUIVEL (4930-1996) writes: “Tour at dinner of the anti-sub ship in Leningrad. Naval parade in Sevastopol with live firing. Tank Museum, ride on the T-34 tank, Air Force Museum in Moscow.”
