The 6th U-BootFlotille was a ‘FrontFlotilla’, a combat flotilla based first at Danzig, then at St. Nazaire.
The FlotillenChef (Flotilla Commander) was:
- KK WILHELM SCHULZ (162-+-1986), the former Skipper of U-64 and U-124. He was FlotillenChef from September 1941 to October 1942;
KL CARL EMMERMANN (315-+-1987), the former Skipper of U-172. He was FlotillenChef until August of 1944
