During World War II, BERNARD CLAREY (2454-1992) was C. O. of USS PINTADO (SS 387) on her first four war patrols, which were extremely successful. The boat won a PRESIDENTIAL UNIT CITATION and 6 BATTLE STARS; CLAREY earned three NAVY CROSSES.

On 15 June, 1996, ADMIRAL BERNARD CLAREY (2454-+-1992) began his ‘ETERNAL PATROL’.

Fair winds to you always, ADMIRAL CLAREY.

DAVIS DENNIS (3104-1993) began his ‘Eternal Patrol’ early this year. He is interred at the National cemetery in Phoenix. Sail on in peace with a fair wind at your back.

Dr. RONALD MacKENZIE (2358-1992) recently passed away. He was a graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy and was a sports medicine specialist. His famous patients included ‘Broadway’ Joe Namath. While working in South America, the country of Bolivia awarded him their highest civilian honor, the CONDOR of the ANDES medal. Dr. MacKENZIE was 71.
