AMMIRAGLIO CARACCIOLO

Mid-Nov., 1941 the Italian submarine GUGLIELMO MARCONI was lost to unknown reasons in the Atlantic.

10 Dec., 1941 the I.J.N. submarine I-70 (sometimes called I-170 in error) under command of Sano was sunk by US Navy A/C of VB-6 flying off USS ENTERPRISE (CV 6) at 23.45N x 155.35W.

11 Dec, 1941 the Italian sub AMMIRAGLIO CARACCIOLO was sunk at 32.09N x 25.19E by HMS FARNDALE.

17 Dec., 1941 the I.J.N. submarine RO-66 under Kurokawa was lost at 19.25N x 166.30E after a collision with RO-62.

29 December, 1941 the I.J.N. submarine RO-60 was wrecked on a reef off Kwajalein Island.
