Italian Ada, Alessandro Malaspina,
and Galileo Ferraris

30 Sept.1941 the Italian submarine ADUA was sunk by HMS LEGION and HMS GURKHA at 37.10N x 00.56E. Sometime in October 1941, the Italian submarine ALESSANDRO MALASPINA was lost in the Atlantic to unknown causes.

25 October 1941 the Italian submarine GALILEO FERRARIS (seen at right) was sunk by HMS LAMERTON and RAF aircraft of the 202 Squadron at 37.07N x 14.19W.
