CRAIG was a flier aboard a carrier-based S-3B VIKING; was Commander of Sea Control Squadron 32 (VS-32) flying off of USS AMERICA (CV-66). This is the same as the old ASW Squadrons. CRAIG writes: “I’ll keep reading the KTB Magazine with interest, hoping to learn a trick that will get the jump on a KILO or a 209. Keep up the great work.”

CAPT. WITTE was a young officer or the light cruiser KÖLN when they cruised Spanish waters during the Spanish Civil War. He was I.W.O. on torpedo boats, then served aboard the destroyer Z-22 and was one of the survivors when that ships was sunk in the Norway Invasion. He trained as a C.O. on U-107 under Günther Hessler than became Skipper of U-159 where he won the KNIGHTS CROSS.
