HELP SAVE the ‘IRON LADY’

Please read page 39 thoroughly. USS CABOT was known as the ‘IRON LADY’ in the Pacific for her heroic deeds and for her survivability in month after month of combat.

What the Japanese Fleet could not do; what a Kamikaze attack that killed three dozen brave American sailors could not do - a group of ‘Americans’ is trying desperately to do. They are trying to destroy USS CABOT - but not in combat or for national war goals as an enemy would, but for money! Pure and simple, they want to sell the ‘IRON LADY’ to a scrapyard in Asia. Is patriotism for sale? Is the heritage of the United States Navy for sale? Is a priceless historical ship for sale?

USS CABOT was given to the Spanish Navy after the war, and a few years ago, they gave it to a private foundation who promised to open the ship as a Museum and a Memorial to the men who died in the war. Their word, their promise seems to be worth just about nothing!

Please take special note of page 39 and if this makes you mad, please send a letter. If you are a patriotic American, you owe it to your heritage. If you are not an American but a true believer in Naval History, you must write to preserve this historic ship. Please don’t turn your back on the ‘IRON LADY’
