8 Sept., 41 the Italian sub MAGGIORE FRANCESCO BARACCA was sunk by HMS CROOME at 40.30N x 21.15W.

28 September, 1941 the Italian submarine FISALIA was sunk by HMS HYACINTH at 32.19N x 34.17E

Sometime in Sep 41 the Italian submarine SMERALDO (Emerald) was lost to unknown causes in the Mediterranean. She last reported in on 16 Sep. off Sollum.
