Did you know that this was the term for the 'WOLF PACK' tactics of the U-Boats in World War II? This was the concept of massed submarine attacks, developed by Karl Dönitz that made the U-Boat so efficient in the first half of World War II. The US Navy copied this tactic to a lesser degree in the Pacific.
