The 19th winner of the OAK LEAF CLUSTER to the KNIGHTS CROSS was Kapitänleutnant Johann (Jochen) Mohr, the Skipper of U-124 the EDELWEISS-BOOT. He earned his OAK LEAVES on 17 January, 1943 - less than three months later, U-124 went to the bottom with all hands lost.
