Some of our Members are about to undergo hospital stays; others are recovering; while with others, only God can know. HARRY COOPER (1-LIFE-1983) is in bad need of a major cataract operation on his right eye. Everyone tells him that it is no big deal - in and out in a few hours, and good vision is restored. HARRY spent years driving race cars most Sunday afternoons at speeds in excess of 190 miles per hour and the thought of death or injury never bothered him. But he says the thought of the doctor coming right at AND INTO his eye with a knife while he is awake and looking at the knife scares the hell out of him! Royal Navy vet CAPTAIN VICTOR HAWKINS (1364-A-1990) has been in and out of hospital several times over the past six months as they open his stomach again and again. Thanks God, no cancer has been found, so it appears that VIC will regain his health. He joked that he must put a zipper on his stomach to make more & more operations easier for the doctors. We suggested VELCRO. WW II veteran A. J. TARANTINO (1496-1990) informs us that he is undergoing radiation treatment for cancer in his vocal cords. US Army CAPTAIN PATTIE ROBINSON (1497-A-1990) is in need of all our prayers. We do not need to go into details here, but PATTIE's health continues to deteriorate and there is no good news to be had. Godspeed, PATTIE. JOAN PARKE MASSEY (1748-C/LIFE-1991) just underwent an emergency open heart operation and received a quadruple bypass. We are pleased to report that J. P. is on the mend. These Members need your prayers and good thoughts in their time of crisis, Thanks in advance.
