(4006-1994) MICHAEL OZTUMER GERMANY -- MICHAEL (at right in photo) is a young man, but he is very interested in collecting information about bunkers in general, and the 'ATLANTIK WALL' and the 'WESTWALL' in particular. He Is interested in the German U-Boat bunkers in France.

(4008-1994) GENERALMAJOR OTTO KUMM GERMANY The son of a salesman, KUMM joined the military in 1931 and by the outbreak of WW II, had attained the rank of Hauptstrumführer and was a company commander. On 12 May, 1940 during the assault on Holland, he took command of a regiment after its commander was severely wounded. His action in the French campaign earned him the IRON CROSS 1st CLASS in 1941 and he was promoted to the rank of Obersturmbannführer. By this time, the regiment which he commanded was involved in heavy fighting along the Russian front. He soon won the DEUTSCHE KREUZ IM GOLD (German Cross in Gold) for bravery and then was awarded the KNIGHTS CROSS personally by Field Marshall Model. This was quickly followed by the OAK LEAF CLUSTER and a promotion to the rank of Standartenführer. On 30 Jan, 1944 he was promoted to Major General and Brigade Commander. In the closing moments of the War, he was awarded CROSSED SWORDS by Sepp Dietrich.

(4095-1995) HANS SIEGEL GERMANY HANS began his military career as an infantryman serving with a machine gun company. Early in the war, he attended officer's training at Bad Tolz and eventually received his commission. He was a group leader with one of the divisions that was trying to hold back the American advances at Normandy, but they were decimated by the overwhelming strength of the American forces and air cover. By 27 June, 1944 his company had only four operational tanks remaining but they still turned back four Allied armored attacks at Cheux. His tank was hit and SIEGEL was seriously burned in the fire - one of nine times he was wounded on the battlefield. On 23 August, 1944 he was awarded the KNIGHTS CROSS.
