Cremer, Peter

"U-BOAT COMMANDER"

Hardbound edition published by Naval Institute Press, Annapolis in 1984, containing 244 pages, 35 photographs in the Book Club Edition. Available as of July, 1989 from the publishers.

This book was published in Great Britain by Botley Head, LTD under the title "U-333" No details known.

Cremer was one of the more successful and well-known U-Boat Commanders of World War II. His autobiography translated from the 1982 German edition, deals exclusively with his wartime experiences, primarily as Commander of U-333. However, he includes a considerable amount of information about technical developments and strategy. He was on the Staff of the C-in-Chief (U-Boats) while recovering from wounds, so he was in a position to be knowledgeable.

HARRY'S NOTE - 'ALI' PETER CREMER (114-+-1985), was a strong, supportive Member of SHARKHUNTERS until his death about two years ago. He was a fine and decent man.
