WALTER THIERFELDER (2133-1992) for the donation of the book: "THE LEGEND OF ELECTRIC BOAT" Walter sent photos of him by the graves of the men of U-853 and U-550 who are buried at Newport R.I. He tells us that the Naval War College places a wreath on the graves each November and keep a flower and a German Flag on each grave.
