Riding the Boats Again

PETE PETERSEN (1113-A-1989) rode U-518 during WW II and when we enjoyed the 50th Anniversary of the Capture of U-505 in Chicago last June, it was PETE who fired off the starboard diesel of that boat. And now PETE is in the news again.

PETE recently rode USS TAUTOG (SSN 639) for a short, demo patrol. PETE found the equipment so sophisticated that he said he didn't really understand everything he saw and heard.

Does this qualify PETE to wear the gold TWIN DOLPHINS on his tunic along with his U-BOOTSKRIEGSABZEICHEN? Would certainly look good. Congratulations PETE.
