Gallery Owner Not Out of Jam Yet

More Tom Shutt

by Harry Cooper

We have been reporting the situation with Tom Shutt and his now-closed King's Crown Gallery in Tustin, California. Years before, it was located in the Kansas City area - but Tom moved west under a cloud of accusations and questions. In KTB #110, we reported Shutt's landing in jail for five days and his probation. Apparently, there are a great many more clouds on his horizon.

According to our SHARKHUNTERS Member who claims to have been 'taken' by Shutt to the tune of $53,000 - the police in Ventura, California only brought one charge against Shutt, which landed him in the slammer and put him on probation, but the bulk of charges being considered are in Tustin, California where the King's Crown Gallery was located.

According to this Member, who is making a career out of keeping track of Shutt and his legal situation, Detective Finney of the Tustin Police Department will possibly bring no less than 50 charges against Shutt and his colleagues from the gallery.

In addition, the F.B.I. and the U.S. Postal Inspectors as well, are investigating Shutt to see if he violated any Federal or Postal laws. Credit Card companies are looking into the matter, to the tune (reportedly) of nearly $350,000 in fraudulent charges.

Anyone who has reason to question any dealings they have had with Tom Shutt or King's Crown Gallery is urged to contact Detective Finney at the Tustin, California Police Department. And we would appreciate it if anyone with further information would contact us and let us know the current status.
