USS S-18 (SS 123) was EB 73 C design
She was built by Fore River Shipbuilding;
Her keel was laid 15 August, 1918;
She was launched 29 April, 1920;
Her Sponsor was Miss V. Bell Johnson;
She was commissioned 3 April, 1924;
Her first Skipper was LT Elliott M. Senn
History:
Sept 1941, S-18 returned to the west coast from duty in Hawaii;
27 January 1942, U-18 began patrol duties out of Dutch Harbor in the Aleutian Islands under LT William 'MOKE' Millican;
March 1942, U-18 returned to San Diego for repairs, then back on duty in the Aleutian Islands by mid-May;
11 January 1943, S-18 resumed reconnaissance patrols of the Attu and Semichi Islands area under LCDR C. H. Browne;
4 February 1943, U-18 was reassigned to the San Diego area for overhaul and for training use at the West Coast Sound School for the balance of the War;
29 October 1945, S-18 was decommissioned at San Francisco;
23 November 1945; USS S-18 was struck from the Navy List and was sold for scrap in 1946 to Salco Iron and Metal Company in San Francisco.
USS S-18 had no sinkings during World War II.

Her first Skipper was LCDR William J. Butler;
History:
13 January, 1925 - while en route to New London from Portsmouth Navy Yard, S-19 ran hard aground at Nauset Beach on Cape Cod. The US Coast Guard took the entire crew off in surfboats however, it was 18 March before S-19 was refloated, at which time she was towed to Boston;
10 February, 1934 - USS S-19 was decommissioned;
Sometime in 1938 USS S-19 was destroyed.
