If you remember the movie of that name, made in the mid-1960's, you remember that Frank Sinatra and Anthony Franciosa found and raised a German U-Boat in a plot to intercept and rob the ocean liner QUEEN MARY. It was fiction of course, but an interesting story nevertheless.

Did anyone wonder what happened to the set they used for the conning tower scenes in ASSAULT ON A QUEEN? When such an intricate set is made, it is bad business to just break it up and throw it away, so what became of that set?

Who does not remember the GET SMART television series of the middle 1960's and of course, we must also remember the bumbling KAOS U-Boat Skipper named SIEGFRIED, pictured here. SIEGFRIED tells us that the conning tower set from ASSAULT ON A QUEEN is also the set they used in the original GET SMART series as well as the new remake, which ran for six weeks during January and February of 1995. We sincerely hope the network picks up the option and continues this great humor show.
