His convoy duty took him to Italy, England, Scotland and France. After the War, he worked for forty years for the Ford Motor Company. He says: "I will always remember my shipmates; the good times and the bad. Have yet to meet men of their caliber."

Albert served aboard HMCS SNOWBERRY in the North Atlantic, escorting convoys, and was involved in the sinking of U-536. WAYNE has also been quite active in historical preservation and has worked on several movies, including GLORY and IRONCLAD. He is currently forming a group to produce films dealing with Florida history.
