We have just learned that the French Navy will vacate this, the largest and most famous of the former German U-Boat bases, over the summer of 1995. These are the great Keroman concrete bunkers that were home base to the mighty and renowned 2nd U-BOOT-FLOTILLE as well as the 10th U-BOOT-FLOTILLE; they were the bunkers that withstood the most awesome saturation bombing with specialized 12,500 pound 'TALL BOY' bombs ever dropped on a single target - and they stood!
What will be the fate of these giant concrete monuments of modern times? We are not completely certain at this time, but we will certainly report the news as soon as we have it and you know you will read it first on the pages of our KTB Magazine.
