Feuerland Bases

by Harry Cooper

Over the past many issues of our KTB Magazine, we have read of something we called the FEUERLAND Bases.

If you were a nation about to go to war at sea against a vastly superior naval force, wouldn't you want to know where every hidden harbor was in every ocean?

Wouldn't you want to know where to hide your ships where the enemy could not find them?

If your navy spent months during World War I charting such hidden harbors, wouldn't you send an ancient battleship to renew the surveys of these harbors in 1938 and 1939 prior to the opening of open warfare, so your ships and submarines would have a place of refuge, safe from enemy ships?

Perhaps we have dangled the carrot long enough - but we were making sure, ABSOLUTELY SURE, of our research before we put one fact down on these pages. Keep reading for a story that will possibly write a new ending to World War II.
