The 13th U-Boat recipient of the OAK LEAF CLUSTER to the KNIGHTS CROSS
was Kapitanleutnant Adalbert Schnee, I W.O. on U-23 under KRETSCHMER
(122-LIFE-1985); Skipper of U-60 and U-201. Schnee, the SNOWMAN, won
his OAK LEAF CLUSTER on 15 July, 1942 and he later served on the Staff
of GrossAdmiral Karl Donitz.
