Thanks Beth! BETH SCHIMOLER (129-A-1985) donated a really SUPERB photocopy machine to our SHARKHUNTERS RESEARCH CENTER, and we wish to acknowledge this very welcome gift here in our KTB Magazine. BETH is a long-term Member of SHARKHUNTERS and although quietly, is an extremely strong supporter of our group. BETH, many thanks for this beautiful photocopy machine, and thanks for being such a super Member. Thanks, Bill Custer Our older computer, which was an IBM 286, was not keeping up in speed or abilities with our newer IBM 486, so we brought it to BILL CUSTER (1764-AL-1991), the owner of MR. FLOPPY COMPUTER stores and thanks to BILL, the 'mother board' was changed which converted our 286 into a modern 486DX40, more memory was added and many of the newest & slickest programs were installed - all at no charge. It is his contribution to helping SHARKHUNTERS continue to grow. Thanks BILL. Kriegsmarine Patches NEWELL UELAND (488-1988) sent a package here with some very nice KRIEGSMARINE Rating and Specialist uniform patches for our RESEARCH CENTER. Many thanks, NEWELL. Membership Contest 1994The 1994 Membership Contest is rolling along for some, while others are coasting a little bit, perhaps catching their breath for a final dash to the finish line. A few Members have increased their standings and a few more have jumped into the competition. Just remember, EVERYONE IS A WINNER For every five new Members you recruit, you win one more year of SHARKHUNTERS Membership - FREE! The Member who recruits the MOST new Members this year (minimum of 30) will win a LIFE Membership in SHARKHUNTERS at the ADMIRAL rank. JOE BURGES (605-A-1988) 43
There's still a lot of time for YOU to get in on the Membership contest and win one or more year's Membership free. Who will win this year's contest? Who will challenge the record of 58 new Members in one year, set by LOU HOUSE (2243-A/LIFE-1992) and his overall total record of 111 new Members going into this year. With the 8 new Members already on his slate for the 1994 contest, LOU pushed his all-time record up to 119! GOOD LUCK TO ALL! Adam Fiegl and the Graf Spee Photographs Thanks to ADAM FIEGL (3042-1993) for some really superb photos of the ship GRAF SPEE, some of which we had never seen before.
