USS S-9 and USS S-10

USS S-9 (SS 114) was GOVERNMENT design

She was built by Portsmouth Naval Shipyard;
Her keel was laid 20 January, 1919;
She was launched 17 June, 1920;
Her Sponsor was Mrs. J. E. Palmer;
She was commissioned 21 February, 1921;
Her first Skipper was LCDR Thomas Shine;
Final fate - Stricken 1937 and sold.
NOTES: S-9 was one of 11 new S-Boats that participated in a seven month voyage from the American east coast to Manila, Philippines. S-9 was decommissioned 15 April, 1931 and sold in 1937.

USS S-10 (SS 115) was GOVERNMENT design
She was built by Portsmouth Naval Shipyard;
Her keel was laid 11 September, 1919;
She was launched 9 December, 1920;
Her Sponsor was Miss M. K. Payne;
She was commissioned 21 September, 1922;
Her first skipper was LCDR C. Q. Wright, Jr.;
Final fate - Decommissioned 17 July, 1936; stricken and sold.
