Editorial

Perserverence

by Terry Gore

This is the fifth time I've written an end of year editorial for SAGA. There have been times (more than one or two!) when I was ready to "Pack it in", you know, two days to the printing date and all of ten pages of material. Sonetimes it really gets difficult to be motivated to keep on going... but then two or three packets would arrive in the mail along with a half-dozen queries and even a check or two, and off I'd be to got it ready to print.

This year-end issue is a case in point. For the first time in five years, I have enough material to print without having to use my own last minute 'fillers'. Plus, the next issue could probably come out next week, if I was crazy enough to put it together. Nah. That'll have to wait until February of 1992.

I welcome Neil Humond of England as an Associate Editor. He will be doing a series of WRG 7th articles. I will also (thankfully) not be raisins the subscription rate this year... it will remain at $20.00/year for U.S. subscribers, $30.00 for overseas and $25.00 for Canadian and Mexican readers. I will also continue to stick with the larger format -- it's easier to read and the postage in actualiy no more than if I used the old style, though I have shaved four pages off the length! Anyway, I will continue to keep the quality of the articles an high as I can. Most of you are up for renewal at this time. It helps if you send so your subscription as soon an possible (it gets expensive sending those reminder cards). Please make the checks/money orders out to T.L. Gore. Thank you for your continued support and I hope to see many of you at HISTORICON in July.
