FROM T.L. GORE

Okay guys, we need at least two more players to sign-up for the Norman Campaign. WE'LL TAKE ALL WE CAN GET, but need at least a couple more. Just send in a postcard with name and address and we'll get this started. Any of those postcards which may be gathering dust on your desk may be returned to ma with comments, rebuttals, whatever.

WALLY SIMON wrote that he wished to see less monstrous paragraphs and more spacing between them! We, the editors have discussed this with our typist, who has assured us that this problem will be rectified as of the present issue. Our typist also said #)&%"#!!!! I guess you can't please everyone.

FROM KEVIN HENDRYX

I enclose another installment of PAX ROMANA for an upcoming issue ... While I do not draw professionally, I have dabbled in cartooning ever since I was old enough to mark on the walls with my crayolas. I have worked on the design and development staffs of Metagaming, TSR Hobbies (home of the evil and mind destroying Dungeons and Dragons, brrrr.) and Coleco, however, which along with a longtime interest in history and gaming as a hobby ought to qualify me to speak out in cartoon form, if nothing else. At the moment, my game-related work is purely on a free-lance basis.

FROM BOB PAVLIK

Medievals and Dark Ages holding the most interest for me in historical gaming, I thought I'd give your publication a try. Please include issue #1 as I collect wargaming publications and magazines and would like to have a complete set. Good luck on your new venture and I hope your newsletter is well accepted.

FROM HAL THINGLUM

I think SAGA is looking very good. One thing that I have always done to ensure that I have enough copy to print an issue is to have regular features (editorial, bits & pieces, interview with a wargamer, Sutler's wagon, MWAN news). You may want to consider a regular column on new products, or on SAGA member's activities. I also write to people I know and ask them for a specific article based on their interest. (Ed.: I beg them face to face!) It also serves to reduce some of the anxiety when you don't receive sufficient articles with which to publish.
