SAGA Products

by Terry Gore

The Christmas season is fast approaching and I am looking forward to the break. Classes have been very intense this year, but enjoyable just the same. I actually had the opportunity to bring a bunch of my Teutonic Order figures to college today in order to show the development of armor.

Many of you had the chance to get to Fall In. It seems like the convention was a success (see some tournament results later in this issue). We have been working on some new ideas for scenarios and items to add to the website, including the PBM version of MW and some streaming video. I don't know how practical either of these will be, but every little bit helps.

Rich Jarosz continues to work on the Siege Warfare rules and contributed an article which appeared in MWAN and Slingshot. The latest Courier also has a piece on building a Norman army. I am always looking for AW/MW related articles in other magazines and journals. The more press the better!

We are managing to get more and more dealer orders for SAGA products, which means the rules and related books are selling, but the profit margin is paper thin on sales to dealers. I continue to lose money on the newsletter and may soon be forced by economics to make it more available as an e-version. The e-version is $12.00 per year but costs nothing to produce and send out. The hard copies are quite expensive to print and mail. If the subscriber base continues to fall, I may have to make a decision on this. Of course, the way to handle this is to have more subscribers!

I don't know what army to take to Cold Wars. I would like to try something different. I've always liked some of the barbarian armies, but with my lousy commander rolls, I usually need four generals! If anyone wants to play in the Cold Wars tournament, please get your army in asap.
