Medieval Warfare Tournament Results

Cold Wars 2003

Rob Robertson

For 25mm we had 10 gamers, and we were able to break the pairings up into the early and later Medieval periods. After all of the dust settled, Iain Black emerged as the winner, with Rich Jarosz a very close second place finisher. In a tiebreaker, Jim Bleed won the "Coveted Next to Last Place" trophy. There was also (and this is a good thing!) a tie for best sportsperson, with Paul Dobbins and Conrad Campnest sharing the award. A hearty congratulations to all winners! The final standings are listed below:

Iain Black - 10
Rich Jarosz - 9
Allen Kaplan - 8
Terry Gore - 8
Bert Caveny - 7
Tony Gulotta - 7
Paul Dobbins - 7
Dave Burton - 6
Jim Bleed - 6
Conrad Campnest - 5

Unfortunately, we only had 4 gamers for the 15mm tournament. Steve DeLucas and Kevin Boylan were tied after two rounds, with Kevin winning the tie-breaking die roll. Rob Robertson won the "Coveted Next to Last Place" trophy, and George Hunsicker was named best sportsperson. I'd also like to personally commend Steve DeLucas for taking two new gamers under his wing as sub-commanders. I think they had a great time and enjoyed themselves – thanks Steve! The results were:

Kevin Boylan – 5 (won tiebreaker)
Steve DeLucas - 5
Rob Robertson - 4
George Hunsicker – 2

I'd also like to take a moment and thank EVERYONE for their overall sportsmanship and cooperation. There were very few rules questions/issues, and they were easily and painlessly solved. You guys really made my job very easy!
