Convention

by Terry Gore

We are back from Historicon and as always, had a fantastic time. It seems Bruce, Jeff and I have learned to pace ourselves better. No fatigue this year! Even so, we managed to have five demo games (thanks to Dave Bonk, Bob Eldridge, Paul Schneider, Jeff and Ken Brate) going as well as our MW 15 and 25mm tournaments running virtually non-stop. We have finally cracked the NASAMW requirement for a fully accepted and sponsored tournament, as twenty participants did battle on Saturday (see tournament results later on). This is a major achievement as we have now surpassed ARMATI in tournament participation.

For Fall In, we will be returning to Ancient Warfare. This means I will now begin to work on refining the AW rules, including a new errata sheet and getting the army lists tuned up as well. We are planning on doing a 25mm AW tournament at Fall In as well as a 15mm MW.

Some very interesting news coming out of England, with changes brewing at the Foundry. I've asked how this will impact the release of MW, but they are now in the process of photo shoots for inclusion in the rules, so all is still in the works, it's just taking a lot longer than initially planned.

Picked up some Foundry and Newline Greeks as well as an additional elephant to give some more offense to my AW armies. Historicon 2002 will feature a Bronze Age theme, so it's not too soon to consider what army you might like to bring to do battle with.
