I'm not sure how many people have logged onto the GoreAMwar\OneList for collective discussion of the AW & MW rules, but I recently threw out a question to this group as an informal survey. I asked each participant for the names of two 'favorite' books dealing with Ancient & Medieval history and warfare – either fiction or non-fiction. Oman, C., The Art of War in the Middle Ages. Osborne, J. V. W., The Greatest Norman Conquest. Payne, R., The Dream and the Tomb. Redfield, J., Nature and Culture in the Iliad. Runciman, S., The Crusades. Sandars, N. K., The Sea Peoples. Sienkiewicz, H., With Fire and Sword. Sienkiewicz, H., The Deluge. Sienkiewicz, H., Fire in the Steppe. Tranter, N., Robert the Bruce (trilogy). Treece, H., Jason. Wedgewood, C. V., The Thirty Years War. Given the casual nature of the 'survey,' I hesitate to make any analytical commentary on this list. Nevertheless, there are a number of titles herein that are new to me and I will certainly check them out. Many thanks to all who provided input.
